Will I get paid for my internship?
- Internships are unpaid.

How many hours do I need to work each week?
- Though we are flexible, we strongly encourage that you devote at least 15 hours per week.

If I am no longer a student may I still apply for an internship?
-Yes, you may still apply for an internship.

What qualifications do I need for the Mayor’s Office?
- Each office may require different qualifications, but we encourage every interested student to apply.

If I am unable to commit to an entire session should I still apply?
-Yes. We appreciate any help and if you are unable to commit to an entire session we would like you to still apply and indicate this in your application.

If I want to apply for a future session that is not upcoming should I wait in sending my application?
-Yes. Due to the volumes of applications for upcoming sessions we want to ensure that your application does not get misplaced. Please check our website as we will indicate when we are ready to accept applications for your interested session.

If I am not college-aged, or if I am not currently enrolled in an academic program, may I still volunteer in the Mayor’s Office?
-Yes. If you are not college-aged or currently enrolled in an academic program and would like to volunteer your time at the Mayor’s Office, please submit an application through our website.

When will I find out if I have been accepted for an internship position?
- After we have collected all the applications up to the application deadline, we will begin our review process and notify candidates shortly thereafter.

What happens to my application if I missed the deadline?
- Unfortunately, we will not review your application for that particular session unless the need arises to look at more candidates. You may have the option of being contacted during the session if the program is in need of an intern.

What if I don’t have a preference for any office?
- If you do not have a preference for any office, please indicate “No preference” on your application when asked which office you wish to apply for.
