Please complete the form below to nominate a principal to receive the Mayor's Principal of the Year Award.
Mayor Edwin Lee continues this worthy tradition, established by former Mayor Gavin Newsom, to celebrate and acknowledge San Francisco's dynamic principals. The Mayor's Principals of the Year Award (MPYA) recognizes outstanding San Francisco public school principals for their dedication, professionalism, and work on behalf of our City's young people. This special recognition is a collaborative effort with the Mayor’s Office, San Francisco Unified School District, and United Administrators of San Francisco. Principals receiving this award will be nominated by the community – parents, youth, educators, administrators, and other community members – for excellence as leaders in their school and their City.
For the purposes of this award, a principal includes all certificated school principals leading schools in pre-school through twelfth grade.
